John Perry Elliott, 85, of Rollingstone, MN died Wednesday, January 31 at his home. John was born on December 27, 1932 in Stacyville, IA to Perry and Mary Elliott. The family settled in Adams, MN where John grew up with his siblings. John met Theresa Kreidermacher in 1966 at the Play-Mor Ballroom in Rochester. The two fell deeply in love and were married August 20, 1966 at the Oak Ridge Church. The two of them farmed together for many years between Rose Creek, Pilot Mound, and Bethany. He was a loving father and grandfather and shared his deep faith with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Theresa; children, Dorothy (Kenny Duke) Elliott of Mound, MN, Michael (Mary Jo) Elliott of Bloomington, MN, Darline (Mark Herber) Elliott of Rollingstone, Alice (Christopher) Craine of Rollingstone, JoAnn (Paul) Stanton of West Concord; 13 grandchildren; sister, Isabelle Mullenbach of Adams, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Perry; brothers, Dean and Michael; sisters, Myrna Bissen, Pauline Blaser, Carol Vogel, Orion Brown, Doris Douty and Alice Elliott.
Visitation will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 4 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 5 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery.
