Bessie Helen “Peggy” Burke 78 of Gas City, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior and to see her mother in heaven Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Peggy was born to William and Bessie (Noah) Dice January 19, 1939 in Franklin County, Indiana. She was the youngest of her father’s 13 children and was the last to survive. She grew up in Lafontaine and graduated from Lafontaine High School class of 1957. Peggy loved people and was always willing to help or do anything for them. Her favorite room in the house was her kitchen, she was famous for baking black raspberry pie, carrot cake and especially her noodles, she often was called the noodle lady. She was former member of Smile Seekers Clown group and went by the name of “Noodles”. She had been active in the Relay for Life until her health would not permit her to participate. Her favorite pastime was driving her golf cart, doing fill in word puzzles and sitting on her porch.

One of the greatest things in Peggy’s life was marrying her loving husband, Mark on December 23, 1988, when you saw one you saw the other. They enjoyed numerous trips and saw many states on their Harley-Davidson with Peggy’s side car attached.

Peggy had many surgeries throughout her lifetime, but always kept the faith in the Lord. She was a member of Grace Community Church, Marion, Indiana and enjoyed Pastor Tom greatly and her church family.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband Mark, Children; Melody Thomas,Ty (Lisa) Thomas, Michelle West, step-son, Mark Burke Jr.. Grandchildren; Ashley Thomas and Jonathon Ford, and Jaydn Burke. Special nephew Robert (Shirley) Trusty. Great Nephews, Steven (Katie) Trusty, Ray (Clarissa) Trusty, James (Shawnna) Trusty, and Niece, Nicole West. Great great nephew, Wyatt Trusty, great-great niece, Aneava (Joshua) Revesz. Several great nieces and nephews and special friends, Jim Gibson, Julie Michaels, and Nancy Huff

She was preceded in death by brothers, John, Jack, Bud, Russell and Wayne Dice. Sisters, Irene Shell, Kathryn Trusty, Marjorie Dice, Flossie Granger, Goldie Gillespie, and Doris Barnes, her special dog Corky.

Funeral services for Peggy will be Sunday December 3, 2017 with visitation from 11-2 with the funeral at 2:00 PM with Dr.Tom Mansbarger and Rev. Joe Searcy officiating at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St. Fairmount, Indiana.

Burial will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana
