Tony was a U.S. Army veteran from April of 1946 to May of 1947, and he served as Technician 5th Grade in the Motor Pool. Following his military service, Tony became a truck driver. He also did a lot of mechanic work over the years and was Owner of a mechanic/repair shop. He volunteered for 16 years as a van driver for the Marion DAV. Favorite hobbies of his included mushroom hunting, woodworking, and making small farm wagons and stagecoaches.
Survived by wife, Kathelene; daughter, Carol Ann (James) Cochran, LaFontaine; daughter-in-law, Diane Speicher Dice, Lincolnville; grandchildren, Zina (Bill) Thompson, Tony Cochran, Charles Cochran, Timothy Eugene Dice, and Randy Eugene Dice; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Peg (Mark) Burke; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
His parents preceded him in death, as well as his son, Robert "Bob" Eugene Dice, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation September 20, 2016, at V.A. Protestant Chapel, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with burial following in Marion National Cemetery
