Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Olive) Waldschmitt, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.23 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church here. Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. P. Schultes officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Waldschmitt, 69, died Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Orange City hospital following an extended illness.
She was born November 19, 1904 at LeMars, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Koopman. Her marriage to Mr. Waldschmitt took place August 20, 1940 at LeMars.
Surviving are her husband, Paul, of Remsen; two daughters, Miss Karen Waldschmitt of Sioux City and Mrs. James (Beverly) Neitz of St. Paul, Minn.; two grandsons; one brother, Emil Koopman of LeMars and two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Mollie) Zenk of Alton and Mrs. Henry (Frances) Bortscheller of Gardena, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and one sister.
Pallbearers were Ray Krier, Dick Hughes, Donald Hughes, Leonard Majeres, Wayne Koopman and Donald Zenk. The Fisch funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
