Graveside Services will be held at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, Thursday, October 26, 2017, 10 a.m. Pastor Suttle of Cross Roads Assembly of God Church will officiate.
Marie was born to James Claude and Anna Jewel Pirtle on April 28, 1930, in Roswell, New Mexico. On July 17, 1948, Marie married the love of her life, Harold Tucker.
Marie’s and Harold’s love for each other has been an inspiration to their children. He has said she was the best thing that ever happened to him. Marie was a strong hard-working woman, and was always a positive role model to her children.
She loved the Lord and taught her children to put Christ first. Marie was a life member of First Assembly of God Church. Marie enjoyed working in her yard, and being the very best homemaker. She raised four children that she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed.
Marie is survived by her husband, Harold Tucker of Roswell; three sons: Lonnie Tucker and wife, Sandra of Roswell, Terrell Tucker and wife, Peggy of Roswell, Destry Tucker and wife, Bobbi of Roswell; one daughter, Dana Howse and husband, Pat of Dexter; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Claude Pirtle and Anna Jewel Pirtle; siblings: Ray Rockow, Ruby Ashford, Gerald Pirtle, Jesse Pirtle, Ira Pirtle, Phyllis Smith and Ivalene Shannon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Cody Tucker, Troy Tucker, Brandon House, Justin Tucker, Dusty Tucker, Ryon Huizenga, Chris Sienkiewich and Trevor Davidson.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away, and He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” — Revelations 21: 4-5
