Tomasita Vigil, 92, a longtime resident of Hereford, was called home to her Lord on Monday, October 23, 2017
A visitation is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday October 24th in the Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Rose Chapel.
A second Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 25th in the Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Rose Chapel.
Burial will follow at a later date at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hereford, Texas. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Tomasita was born May 31, 1925 in Termintina, New Mexico to Petrolino and Francisca Quintana. She married Cipriano Vigil in December of 1940 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. They had two sons, Vicente, and Lorenzo Vigil. Tomasita was a reliable employee for the Hereford ISD for 15 years.
Tomasita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cipriano Vigil, and by her son Lorenzo. She is the last of her 12 siblings to pass.
She is survived by her son, Vince and wife Delia Vigil of Hereford, Texas. Survivors also include 7 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom loved her dearly and experienced her loving care, first hand.
