Petrolino "Pat" Quintana Jr., age 83 of Texico, NM, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007, at home in Texico. Petrolino was born on August 31, 1923 to Petrolino and Fransiquita Apodaca Quintana in Trementina, NM. Petrolino married Celina Gurule Quintana on January 12, 1949 in Trementina, NM. Petrolino was a veteran of World War II, a farm laborer and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, AM Vets, VFW #3280, AM Legion Post 77 and Knights of Columbus. During his life he worked as a New Mexico prison guard, a Bell Ranch cowboy, butcher for Xcel Meat Packing and highway construction. Petrolino is survived by his wife, Celina Quintana of Clovis, NM, three sons, Raymond Quintana and his wife, Rebecca of Pueblo, CO, Manuel Quintana and his wife, Sheryl of Clovis, NM and Earl Quintana and his wife, Celia of Bovina, TX, two daughters, Ina Carey and her husband, Craig of Texico, NM, and Velma Valdez and her husband, Joe of of Clovis, NM, brother, Luis Quintana of Albuquerque, NM, two sisters, Connie Chavez of Las Vegas, NM and Tomasita Vigil of Hereford, TX, 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and companion, Midnight. Petrolino was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and a grandson, Wilfred Salas Jr. A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Gardens of Memories, Clovis, NM. Pallbearers will be Cindy Chavez, Charolette Marrufo, Kelly Hernandez, Jody Carey, Raymond Quintana Jr., Joshua Quintana, Manny Quintana and Trent Quintana. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Robledo, Frank Gonzalez and Louie Delgado.
