Cecil David Allen of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Dadeville Healthcare, Dadeville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Buron Allen; mother, Sarah Dozier Allen, step-mother, Eunice Johnson Allen; brothers, James Allen and Johnny Allen.
He is survived by son, Greg Allen (Lorraine) of Panama City, FL; daughter, Barbara Veleke (Dan) of Dadeville, AL; sister, Evelyn Tubbs (Glenn) of Wetumpka, AL; brothers, Errol Allen (Juanita) of Chandler, TX; Marlin Allen (Sandy) of Granbury, TX and Kenneth Allen of Wetumpka. Grandchildren, Codi Allen (Danielle) of Valdez Alaska and Landon Veleke of Dadeville, AL; great grandchild, Casey Allen of Valdez, Alaska. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service with military honors provided by the U.S. Army will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Chapel of Alabama Funeral Homes in Dadeville, AL with Chaplain Jamey Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Tallapoosa Co. Memorial Gardens, Dadeville, AL
