Funeral services for Johnny Allen, 69, Dadeville, AL will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Union United Methodist Church in the Union Community with Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Allen served as Tallapoosa County District 5 Commissioner for sixteen years and 12 years on Tallapoosa County Board of Education.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Thelma Allen, Dadeville, AL; children, Barbara(Dan) Veleke, Gregory(Lorraine) Allen, Christy(David)Dark and Amy(Jay) Wellborn; grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Allen, Marin(Sandy) Allen, Errol(Juanita) Allen, and David Allen; sister, Evelyn (Glenn)Tubbs; special friends, Rod and Kathy Barney and Bonnie Pitchford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buren and Sara Allen.
