Our hearts were made sad when we learned on November 1 that the death angel had called for Sarah Allen at 9 o'clock the previous night, October 21. Sarah was the oldest daughter of the late L.H. Dozier and Mrs. Dozier. She was born May 9, 1912, was educated at Independence school, now Union. She was married to Buron Allen on August 2, 1930. To this union were born three boys, James Henry, age eight; Cecil David, age six; and Johnnie Floyd, the tiny infant born October 31. In addition to the little children and husband, she leaves her broken hearted mother, two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Nelson and Mrs. Vivian Sexton, and two brothers, John and Ned Dozier.
Sarah was a faithful wife and devoted mother, always busy, trying to perform all her duties faithfully.
Death is always sad but to see a mother taken from her helpless young, so much in need of her tender care, is more than we can understand. Yet we know we have a Heavenly Father who is able to care for us under any condition. so we can only trust the broken hearted family to the Heavenly Father, to "Him who knoweth all, Him who marks the sparrow's fall, and listens to our loving call."
Let us strive to live so that we will be prepared when our summons comes. - A Friend
