He was born in St. Boniface, son of the late Leroy and Syvilla (Eckenrode) Cence.
Surviving are four children: Randy (Kristy) Cence, Kelly Jo (David) Brunner, Tracy (Steve) Steinbugl and Ron Cence; eight siblings: Richard, Leroy, June, Jean, Joyce, Ray, Ed and Carol; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara; an infant granddaughter, Joyceln; a grandson, Erik; and six siblings: William, Earl, Mary Magdeline, Margaret, Georgia and James.
Pat served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For nearly 20 years, he worked as a coal miner and retired as a carpenter.
He was a life-member of Patton VFW and Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Pat was a loving husband and father, as well as an incredible grandfather. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
