Marie J. Skitka, 90, Patton, went to be with our Lord on Thursday March 5, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family. Born May 12, 1929 in Hastings, daughter of the late Raymond and Syvilla (Eckenrode) Cence. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Skitka; siblings, William Cence, Margaret Yeager, Mary M. Weakland, Georgia Fyfe, Earl Cence, Jim Cence, Jean Burkhart, and Patrick Cence; son-in-law, Regis Penrod. Survived by son, Andrew R. Skitka (Gladys), Deborah A. Kline (William), Beverly J. Penrod; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Richard Cence, Raymond Cence, Joyce DeDea, Leroy Cence, Edward Cence and Carol Ann Dotts; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other members of extended family. A funeral mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Wednesday March 11, 2020 at 11 A.M. Father Thaddeus Rettger OSB, officiating.
