He was born on October 5, 1927 in Rush County to the late Everett C. and Lavina (Hanshew) Ralstin.
Philip married Nora (Hornaday) Ralstin on June 30, 1945 and she survives.
He worked 8 years for the B&O railroad then for Indiana Gas Company and Vectren for over 36 years retiring in 1990. Philip was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a prior member of First Baptist Church. He was an Elder for the First Presbyterian Church and past president of the Eagles. Philip was a 5 time Past Master for the Andersonville F&AM #96 over 50 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and also was very active coach of Club League, Little League and Babe Ruth League. Philip and Nora enjoyed extensive travel.
Philip is also survived by his daughters, Chris (Rick) Levi of Rushville, Barbara (Earl) Baker of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Danny (Tammy) Ralstin of Shelbyville and James “Jamie” (Ronda) Ralstin of Shelbyville; brother, Paul Ed Ralstin of TN; sisters, Mary Bell of Woodstock, GA and Josephine Taylor of Franklin County, Rushville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Philip is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 7 brothers.
Masonic Rites will be at the gravesite.
Burial in Rushville East Hill Cemetery.
