Mr. Nick Jackson, Sr. age 83, of the Marcoot community, died Sunday August 27, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday August 29, 2017 at 3PM at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Hutchinson and Rev. James Caulfield officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 2:30 PM prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Jackson was born in Chambers County August 14, 1934 to the late Burrell Jackson and the late Annie Mae Blanks Jackson. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from Uniroyal Corp. after 35 years of service.
He is survived by two children, Brenda Hutchinson and Nick (Tammy) Jackson, Jr., both of Marcoot; two sisters, Carol (Weymon) Moore of Valley, and Beth (Billy) Golden of Pell City; two sisters in law, Lenora Jackson of Montgomery and Bernice Jackson of Peachtree City, GA; four grandchildren, Benjie Hutchinson, David (Hayley) Hutchinson, Kyle (LaRae) Jackson and Katie (D. J.) McElvy; eight great grandchildren; special care givers, Jerome McCullars and Tammy Greer. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years Bobbie Jean Howard Jackson, and second wife Debra Jackson; two brothers, George Jackson and Bobby Jackson; and sister Virginia Belcher.
