NOTE: David and Nancy had confirmed five children: John B. Grover (1843-1965); Minnie L. Grover (1847-1847); Antoinette Grover (1849-?) who married Renssalear Shepherd; Francis Germain "Frank" Grover (1854-1909); and Byron E. Grover (1857-1872). After the death of Nancy in 1861, David married Nancy M. Rice on December 15, 1862 in Lake County, IL, daughter of John Rice and Fanny (Baldwin) Rice. His second wife was born in Canada on December 23, 1893 and died May 22, 1927 in California. According to the 1870 U.S. Census, children listed were Antoinette, Francis G. and Byron E. Grover.
