Jesse Kanode Oldham, 88, of Messiah Village Mechanicsburg, PA went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2013.

He was born in Altoona, PA on April 12, 1925 to the late Jesse S and Jennie Belle (Kanode) Oldham. He attended school at Fishertown through the 10th grade. Jesse resided in New Cumberland, PA for 35 years and retired from his self-employed company, Better Heet. He was an active member of Messiah Lifeways Brethren in Christ Church and a former member of Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church. He was an active and lifetime member of The Gideons International. He volunteered with SEND International in Alaska. He enjoyed small game and deer hunting.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel, and sister, Martha. He is survived by his wife, M. Madelyn (Shradley) Oldham, of 64 years; a son, Eugene R. Oldham (Pat), of Middletown; daughters Eva Eckenrode (Dave), of Mechanicsburg, Anna Thompson (Gary), of Harrisburg, J. Kay Stone (Bob), of Middletown, Mary Smith (Michael), of Dillsburg, PA. He has twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, A. Ruth Lehman (Charles), of Orrstown, PA.

The services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013, with a viewing at 10:00 am and services at 11:00 am followed by a grave site burial. The services will be held at the Messiah Lifeways Chapel, 100 Mt Allen Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA.
