Gastonia - Polly Jane Stanford Parker, 94, of 1855 Lowell Bethesda Road, died March 2, 2007, at her residence. She was a native of Jackson County, N.C., daughter of the late Robert William and Lorinda Stiles Stanford. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Life Church in Cramerton with interment in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation is 6-8 tonight, Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia. Mrs. Parker was a retired textile employee and a charter member of Life Church in Cramerton for 75 years. The family wishes to express thanks to Dr. Per Larsen and staff, Hospice and Rachel Click caregiver. Surviving are two sons, Harold Parker and wife Mary Jane of Cramerton, Dale Parker and wife Susie of Gastonia; two daughters, Aretha Rogers and husband Ron of Charlotte, Rachel McCarn and husband Rodney of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Rusty, Mandy and Seth Parker, Eric and John Trivette, Roddie, Jason, Elizabeth and Lisa McCarn, J.D. Price, Ed and Mark Rankin, Julie West, Lavonda Cook, Jeff Vernon, Cathey Holcombe, Chuck Nichols; 19 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Parker; two daughters, Aileen Rankin, Mary Lois Heffner; one infant son; one sister, Etta Ramey; and seven brothers, Julius, Theodore, Grady, Frank, Lloyd, Floyd and Fred Stanford. Pallbearers will be Rusty and Seth Parker, Eric and John Trivette, Jason McCarn and J.D. Price with Reverend Sammy Oxendine officiating.
