Cramerton - Harold Lee Parker, 77, passed away Aug. 23, 2012, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Lowell, and was the son of the late Sam and Polly Stanford Parker. Harold was a graduate of Cramerton High School, veteran of U. S. Army serving during the Korean War, attended Ringling School of Art, Sarasota, Florida, and retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company where he used his gift of painting in advertising. Harold was a dedicated member of the Dallas Church of God, where he sang with the Dallas Sanctuary Singers, was a member of the Middle Married Class and helped with all church activities and events. Harold won State and National Awards/Recognition for his painting and singing in the Church of God Senior Talent Convention. He was a member of the 45 Forever (Alumni group from Cramerton High School). Harold was a loving and committed husband, father, PawPaw. He loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved the Lord. Harold is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Wilson Parker; son, Rusty Parker and wife, Stephanie of Cramerton; daughter, Julie West and husband Keith of Gastonia; four grandchildren, Emily, Ethan and Ella Parker, Norah West; two sisters, Rachel McCarn and husband Rodney of Columbia, South Carolina, Aretha Rogers and husband Ron of Charlotte; one brother, Dale Parker and wife Susie of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Advanced Home Health and staff of Gaston Hospice for their love and care shown to Harold. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Dallas Church of God, 311 South College Street, Dallas. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Dallas Church of God with Pastor Danny Shortridge officiating. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with military honors by the U. S. Army. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Parker; two sisters, Aileen Rankin, Mary Lois Heffner. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
