Grady Coleman Stanford, 48, of Gastonia, R-2, died at home Sunday at 8:30 p.m. after one year of failing health and three weeks of serious illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Rikard will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Fred Jump. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park cemetery. The body will be taken to the home at 4:30 p.m. today. It will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Mr. Stanford leaves his wife, Annie Lee; four daughters, Jennis, Barbara, Frankie, and Jo Ann of the home; one son, Johnny of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Ramey and Mrs. Polly Parker of Gastonia; his father, William R. Stanford of Gastonia; and four brothers, Frank and Floyd of Gastonia, Lloyd and Fred of Cramerton. Carothers Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
