William T. Phillips
CHARLESTON, Ill. — William Thomas Phillips, 69, of Charleston died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday in Charleston Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Caudill-King Funeral Home in Charleston with Rev. Eugene Janes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips was born Jan. 19, 1900, in Clark County, the son of Hosea and Cindy Hendrix Phillips. He married Elva Miller.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Stewart of Charleston and Mrs. Marvin (Lola) Wright and Mrs. L. J. (Dorothy) Beachey, both of Decatur; one son, Harold of Paris; one brother, James of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Wallace of Martinsville; and 10 grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Phillips was a member of the Zoar Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer.
