Mrs. William Phillips

CHARLESTON, Ill. — Mrs. William (Elva Mae) Phillips, 70, of Charleston died Thursday morning in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Caudill-King Funeral Home, Charleston. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Mrs. Phillips was born April 24, 1903, in Coles County, the daughter of Isaac and Minnie Anderson Miller. She was married to William Phillips Oct. 12, 1921. He died Oct. 16, 1969.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Zoar Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Harold of Paris; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Velma) Stewart of Charleston and Mrs. L. J. (Dorothy) Beachey and Mrs. Marvin (Lola) Wright, both of Decatur; two brothers, Clarence and Earl Miller, both of Arcola; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Watson of Arthur and Mrs. Irene Stuart and Mrs. Florence Cleet, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
