Vincent DePaul Tobin was born July 3, 1911 in Burlington Junction, MO to Jack (John Edward) Tobin 1880-1962 and to Emma M Kunce 1889-1978. At age 3, the family moved with the cousin Roney family to Oakes, ND. His parents divorce in ND and Vincent returned to Burlington Junction with his dad, Jack. He married Margaret Marie Wells Nov 16, 1937 in Maryville, MO and died suddenly 3 years later with no children on March 9, 1940. He is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maryville beside his dad, Jack with matching tomb stones. His mom Emma Tobin moved to Denver with the other 2 children, Virgina M Shpall 1913-1987 and Jake Gilbert Tobin 1929-2009. Vincent's wife, Margaret, later married Frank Fisher 1907-1981 and lived in Maryville, MO.

"Vincent DePaul Tobin, 28-years of age, died at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon at his home at _04 West First Street, of a heart ailment. He had been unable to work the past year, having suffered heart attacks at different times.


Mr. Tobin was born July 3, 1911, near Burlington Junction. He later lived at North Rockford, N.D., where he was graduated from high school and had lived in Maryville the last six years. He was married to Miss Margaret Marie Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Wells November 19, 1937. Mrs. Wells is a cashier at the J.C. Penney store.


Mr. Tobin was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Maryville Elks Lodge, having recently been named a nominee for the office of secretary.


Surviving are the wife; his father, J.E. Tobin, of Burlington Junction; a sister, Miss Virginia Tobin, and a brother, Gilbert Tobin, both of Denver.


Services will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning at St. Patrick's Church in charge of Rev. R.E. Graham. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery."
