BELLEVIEW,FL - Robert L. Patenaude, 75, a former longtime Tyngsboro resident who had owned a painting business in that town, died Saturday, Aug 6, at Estelles Hospice House in Belleview after a two-year battle with cancer.

He was the husband of Mary R. (Bernier) Patenaude of Belleview, to whom he was married for 55 years.

He was born in Chelmsford on Nov. 15, 1929, the son of the late J. Arthur and Mildred M. (Roberts) Patenaude. He was educated in the Chelmsford School System.

Before moving to Belleview in 1993, he was a resident of Tyngsboro for 43 years.

Mr. Patenaude owned a residential painting business in Tyngsboro.

Before moving to Belleview, he attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chelmsford. He more recently was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Belleview, where he volunteered at the soup kitchen and in other church social service programs. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree in Belleview and of the Tyngsboro Sportsmen's Club.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Peg Patenaude of Falmouth, and Douglas and Laurie Patenaude of Tyngsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kevin Tanner of Hollis, NH; two sisters, Virginia Jensen of Dracut, and Mary Urban of Dunstable; a brother Joseph Patenaude of Bonita Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Diane Packard of Londonderry, NH, Robert Albert of Westford, Ryan Patenaude and Corey Patenaude both of Tyngsboro; He also leaves two great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and Megan Packard both of Londonderry, NH.

Mr. Patenaude was also the father of the late David A. Patenaude who passed away on November 26, 1968.

He was also the brother of the late Theresa Smith, Aldea Bourassa, and Warren Patenaude.
