OBITUARY from Altoona Mirror February 2, 2000 page A9 - Kessler D. ‘Davey’ Wilson - Kessler D. “Davey" Wilson, 92, Laurel Crest Rehabilitation and Special Care Center, Ebensburg, formerly of 319 Fifth Ave., Altoona, died Sunday morning, Jan. 30, 2000, at the center. He was born June 13, 1807, in Bellwood, the son of David H. and Mary C. (Kloss) Wilson. He married Ida E. Swander Aug. 20, 1949. She died July 25, 1980. Mr. Wilson retired as a self-employed shoemaker in Alexandria and also had worked on a farm. He enjoyed gardening and listening to music. Surviving are a daughter, Louella M. of Altoona; two sons: David C. Sr. of Tyrone and Samuel J. of Altoona; a sister, Elizabeth Ingram of Juniata; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata. WILSON — Services for Kessler D. “Davey” Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by Pastor Thomas Kurtz. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Hark, friends will be received from 10 to the 11 a.m. services Thursday at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
