WOMAN DROWNS IN CANAL NEAR PRESTON
Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Mrs. Ruby Smith, 36, found dead yesterday in an irrigation ditch near her home in the Riverdale section.
Mrs. Smith had been subject to fainting spells, and Dr. P. J. Staten, Preston physician, said he believed she fell into the ditch and died of suffocation.
The body was found by two of her daughters.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Sam Smith, Riverdale scoutmaster, and by four minor children.
