Obituary - Alice Jenkins Hamilton, 77, of Smithfield Utah died March 12, 1982 at Logan Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17, in the Smithfield LDS Stake Center, with Bp. Robert Saxton conducting. Burial was in the Smithfield City Cemetery.

Alice was born March 29, 1904 in Freedom, a daughter of William E. and Lena Weber Jenkins. She married Melvin Spencer Hamilton June 21, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was educated in Star Valley Wyo., and graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. She lived in Sugar City, Idaho for 30 years and taught in the Teton and Rigby school districts for many years. She lived the past four years in Smithfield.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the MIA, and Primary ward and stake organizations. She was an active temple worker and served two full-time LDS mission to the East Central States and Tulsa, Okla.

She is survived by her husband, Smithfield; sons M. Spencer Hamilton, West Bountiful, Utah; James W. Hamilton, Hayden Lake, Idaho; David K. Hamilton, Rolling Meadows, Ill.; Brent J. Hamilton, Bountiful, Utah; Glayd R. Hamilton of San Antonio, Tex.; daughters, Mrs Elwin (Marilyn) Nielson, Logan; Mrs Garry (Janet) Flake, Centerville, Utah; sisters Mrs Myra Jenkins, Log Angeles, Calif; Mrs Edyth Romney, Salt Lake City; Mrs Norma Campbell, Naf, Idaho; Mrs Conn (Elmine) Haderlie, Logan; and Mrs Milo (June) Bosshardt, Redmond. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren.
