DARLINGTON- Feb 19 - Mrs. Edward Young 19, died early this morning at the McLeod Infirmary in Florence after an illness of a week. Her passing was a shock to the community. Mrs. Young was formerly Miss Nell Sims.
She is survived by her husband, Pfc. Edward Young, now serving with the artillery in Italy; a small son Richard James Young; her parents Mr. and Mrs. P.V. Sims and the following brothers and sisters; Edward Sims, U.S.N., W.J. Sims, Jack Sims and James Sims all of Darlington; Mrs. James Rogers, Mrs. Jessie Koon, Macie Sims, Mary Sims, Vera Sims and Sarah Sims all of Darlington.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o’clock at the Kistler Funeral Home.
Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Wirt Davis, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
