PLAN FUNERAL OF MRS. STREU
Services Will Be Held Monday At St. John’s Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Streu, 47, wife of Ernest Streu, president of
the Streu Construction company, who died Friday afternoon in Manitowoc following
a major operation, will be held Monday afternoon at 1:40 from the Beduhn and
Goetz funeral home and at 2 o’clock from St. John’s Lutheran church. The Rev.
W.G. Haase will officiate. Interment will be in Pioneers’ Rest cemetery.
The body will lie in state tonight at the funeral home and until the hour of
services.
Mrs. Streu, nee Anna Maigatter, was born at Kewaunee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Gustave Maigatter, June 18, 1887. On June 30, 1908, she was married to Ernest
Streu, also of Kewaunee. Immediately after their marriage the couple went to
Two Rivers, where they resided since.
Besides the widower and her parents, she is survived by three sons, Albert,
William of this city, and Richard at home; two sisters, Mrs. Emil Suchoski and
Mrs. Alvina Streu, both of Kewaunee; and two brothers, William Maigatter of
Kewaunee, and Charles Maigatter of this city, and one grandchild.
For many years Mrs. Streu was an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran
congregation and the Ladies’ Aid society of the church.
