Miss Elizabeth Swallow

SPENCER - Miss Elizabeth Viola Swallow, 45, shoeworker, died yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Roscoe Putnam, 277 Main Street. She was born in Spencer, daughter of George H. and Sarah (Morris) Swallow, and always lived here. She was a member and past Noble Grand of Harmony Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion Auxillary, and Spencerian Chapter of Eastern Star. She leaves four sisters, Ruth I. wife of Frederick A. Eastwood of Worcester, Miss. Lavinia S. Swallow of Brookfield, Mrs. Bertha Gleason, and Mildred H. wife of Roscoe H. Putnam, both of Spencer. Three Brothers, William E. Swallow of Spencer, Harold E of Bloomfield, Conn., and George H. of Brunswick, Me. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Kingsly Funeral Home. The Rev. Jesse H. Warwick of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours today are 2 - 4 and 7-9 p.m.
