MRS. EASTWOOD, RETIRED FLOORLADY FOR PFEIFFER CO.
Ruth I (Swallow) Eastwood, 81, of 3 North Steel St., died yesterday in City Hospital.
Her husband, Frederick A. Eastwood, died in 1969.
She was a floorlady for Frank H. Pfeiffer Co., before retiring in 1959.
She leaves two sons, Frederick R Eastwood and Donald J. Eastwood, both of Worcester; two brothers George H. Swallow of Brunswick, Maine and Harold Swallow of Pequesta, Fla; three sisters, Lavinia Swallow, Mildred Putnam and Bertha Gleason, all of Spencer; two grandchildren 14 nieces and nephews.
She was born in Rochdale, daughter of George H and Sarah (Morris) Swallow.
Mrs. Eastwood was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and a charger member, past president and treasurer for 23 years of the Auxiliary of Post 318, American Legion of Worcester.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Lindquist Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. The Rev. Duncan R. McQueen will officiate. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests contributions be made to the memorial fund of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge St.
