Barbara Jean McGlocklin, 77, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1939 in Bloomington as the daughter of James. E and Ephra Z. (White) Abbitt.
Barbara attended Bloomington High School. She enjoyed shopping, dancing with her husband, and watching her hummingbirds. She was an avid bowler and a collector of wind chimes and cookie jars.
Barbara is survived by her children, Julie Deckard, Patricia (Bill) Speicher, and Theron McGlocklin; four grand-children, 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bud (Shirley) Abbitt, Madeline Morris, Wanda Rose White, Pam Stogsdill, and Daniel (Dawn) Abbitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years, Gilbert McGlocklin; siblings, Fred Abbitt, Don Abbitt, Cecil Abbitt, and Nancy Hillenberg.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
