Mary K. Abbott, age 71, of Bauxite, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born November 30, 1945 in Roswell, New Mexico to the late A. L. Joslin, Sr. and Flora Christine Joslin. Mrs. Abbott was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Horace Abbott of Bauxite; two sons, Eddie (Cheryl) Jones of Bauxite and Ray (Sharon) Abbott of Sardis; four daughters, Angie Ellingston of Benton, Tammy (Larry) Pettit of Bauxite, Melinda (Harold) McClendon of Bauxite and Sherrie Wilson of Sardis; three sisters, Shirley (Speedy) Spears of White Hall, Pat (Wayne) Whitlow of Texas and Wanda (Max) Rounsaville of Bauxite; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20 at West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Bauxite Cemetery. Bro. Melvin Burris will be officiating.
Mary is the 9th born child of Albert and Christine Joslin. She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers,A.L.(Jr.),Roy, Jimmy and Paul Joslin,along with 4 sisters Marjorie Joslin Brown,Lillie Joslin Pavy,Gladys Joslin Warner,Dovie Joslin Childress
