Donald E. Rupert, 83, of Porkey, Forest County, died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Erie at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept 28 1987, after a three-month illness.

He was born in Lynch, Forest County, on Febuary 2, 1904, son of the late O.E. Rupert and Elsie Bloss Rupert and had lived in the area all his life. He was employed as a logger and served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Surviving are three sisters, Doris E. Rupert, and Mrs. Alta Littlefield, both of Porkey, and Mrs. Lois Brennan of Rock City, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Angeline, who died in infancy, Nellie Hoover and Vernita Coon Swanson; and three brothers, Ralph, who died in infancy, Lyle and Marion.
