Mary Betty Hair Sosebee, 85, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday February 5, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the Chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Brother Bill Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Charlie Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Betty was born on July 28, 1931 in Wichita Falls to the late Stanley and Bertha (Underwood) Hair. Betty was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church. She loved playing bingo with her sisters and sisters-in law. She also loved to go to the races on Friday and Saturday nights with her husband Pete, and brother Eugene, and in her later years, with son Mike. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Sosebee; son Mark Alton Sosebee; grandson, Jonathan Blair; her sisters, Fonda Hair, Ruby Lackey, and Sandra Mullins; and her brother Lonnie Franklin Hair.
Mary is survived by her son, Michael Sosebee and wife Patti; her daughter, Joanie Blair, all of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Colby Blair and fiance Donia, and Amanda Oliver and husband Brady; her brothers, Herschel Glen Hair and wife Pam, Eugene Hair and wife Carol, Douglas Hair and wife Jan, all of Wichita Falls, and Billy Hair of Henrietta; sisters Bertha Welch, Linda Pitts and husband Bobby, Barbara Maxwell and husband Richard, all of Wichita Falls; and sister-in-law Ursula Hair of Wichita Falls.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Owens and Brumley in Wichita Falls.
