William Earl Hair, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Wichita Falls Texas.
Billy was born on March 31, 1950, in Henrietta Texas to Stanley and Bertha (Underwood) Hair. He joined his brothers as they ran Hair Appliance, and he served as a repair man. His younger years allowed him the enjoyment of being part of his brother, Eugene Hair, racing career. Billy along with some of the other brothers, considered themselves crew members. Billy as well was the backup driver & #1 fan. Many many years later his grandson, Jacob started racing at 12 years old, Billy joined him and was glad to be back at the dirt track. He would show up and ride his power scooter, racing it around in the pits talking to everyone. Billy was happy go lucky and always trying to prank people. He was a person that you enjoyed being around because you always knew you would have a good time. He enjoyed making memories with his family & many longtime friends.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Glen, Lonnie, and Doug Hair; and his sisters, Betty Sosebee, Ruby Lackey, Sandra Morris, and Faunda Hair.Billy was survived by his brother Eugene Hair, his sisters, Bertha Welch, Linda Pitts and her spouse, Bobby, and Barbara Maxwell; his children, William Earl Hair, Jr. and spouse Sherri; Donald Riley Hair and spouse Kim; J.R. Hair spouse Courtney. Daughter, Jennifer Hair and spouse Justan Alford. Billys grandchildren Amanda, Shannon, and Ashley Hair, Kayla and Elizabeth Hair., Isaac Grimes. Justan Alford Jr, Jacob William Alford, Jaydan May Alford, and Juila Alford; along with nine great grandchildren. Billy also has 2 surviving sister in laws, Pam Hair & Jan Hair;. Numerous nieces and nephew's.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at First Primitive Baptist Church, 500 N. Beverly, Wichita Falls, Texas.
