Barbara (Minser) Lee, 89, of Chillicothe, passed away 1:15am Monday, January 30, 2017, at National Church Residences, Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

She was born December 3, 1927, in Chillicothe, to the late Guy “Dick” Fulton and Kathryn (Clark) Minser. On May 22, 1947, she married Frank Preston Lee, Jr., who preceded her in death on October 25, 2001.

Barbie is survived by her sister; her nieces and nephews; 9 great-nephews; 3 great-nieces; 3 great-great nephews; 2 great-great-nieces; and special friends, Mary, Vivian “Peg”, Fred and Eula, and Chris’s beloved. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher B. Lee, and her brother, Orval C. Minser.

The family would like to give special thanks to National Church Residence’s Heritage staff and Hospice for their wonderful care and love to Barbie. They would also like to thank them for the kindness, love and support towards the family.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Graveside services will be held for her and Frank at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Grandview Cemetery, with Rev. James Grove officiating. The Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military graveside honors for Frank at that time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
