FRANK SWEENEY OF HUTTON TWP. DIES
Charleston, Ill. — Frank Sweeney, 62, of Hutton township died Monday afternoon at the Charleston Hospital following an illness of six weeks. He had been in the hospital two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Providence church, with burial in Enon cemetery.
Mr. Sweeney was born near Mattoon Aug. 3, 1885, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sweeney. He spent nearly all of his life in Coles county, with the exception of 15 years in Whiteside county, and had lived in Hutton township 10 years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Maude Hussong; two sons, Harold of Charleston and Howard at home; a grandson, Max Sweeney; five brothers, Fred of Mattoon, John of Ashmore, James, Max and William of Westfield; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lanman of Ashmore, Mrs. Nellie Moore of Marshall and Mrs. Alma Fisher of St. Louis.
