Arthur Daniel Adams, 84, 1631 Clay, Topeka, died Sunday, march 29, 1981, at a Topeka hospital. He was born August 15, 1896 at Millersburg, Iowa, the son of Edmond J. and Ida Grimm Adams.
He attended school at Grotto, South Dakota and moved to Wetmore in 1902. Mr. Adams was a farmer at Wetmore. In 1912 he moved with his family to Blaine where he assisted his father with carpenter work and farming.
He was married to Lazetta Crystal Plummer of Blaine, in 1917. She died in 1967. In 1922 he moved to Topeka and worked as a carpenter for Santa Fe and retired in 1962.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Marsena Counseller, Arvada, Colo. and Mrs N. Elaine Guertin, Langhorne Manor, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Lucy Northup, Mrs. Eunice Tibbetts and Mrs Vivian Harrington, all of Wamego and Mrs Neva Noe, Topeka; a brother, Frank Adams, Topeka; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were held at 1:30 Wednesday, April 1, 1981 at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka 66611. Penwell - Gabel funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
