Martha Lavinia "Mattie" DuVal (1850-1912) lived in Fayetteville, Ark. She married in 1868, Thomas Henry Ash (1847-98), of Louisville, Ky. Their nine children were twins Louis Russell (1873-1930) and William D. (1873-); Edward Newwell (1875-1938) who married in 1906, Ida Thompson (1888-1970), of Arkansas; Gertrude Irene (1878-1955)(dsp); Hattie May (1880-); Walter Henry (1884-1958); Rev. Hugh Franklin (1886-1962); Nettie E. (1889); and Frederick Clarence Ash(1891-1981).
Elizabeth "Betty" DuVal (1853-97) last lived in Soper, Ok. She married (1) Charles Simms (1835-1918). Their children were Lien (c1867-), Mattie (c1870-), and Hattie Simms (1877-). She married (2) Thomas Byrd Grace (1851-1931), son of John P. (1810-60) and Margaret Kinchen Grace (1815-1901). Their children were Harry (1886-1966), and Mary Mae Grace (1888-1967).
Robert R. DuVal (1856-) lived in Monticello, Ark. He married Mary I. (1864-), and their sons were Byron Cervantes (c1886-), Elmo (c1890/9-1935), and Brann DuVal (1903-).
Samuel D. DuVal (1857-1921) lived in St. Louis. He married Mary Elizabeth Edmonds (1857-1943), and a daughter was Dolly DuVal (1897-1953).
Ida P. DuVal (c1862-) married an Armstrong (1859-). Their children were William (1884-), and Grace Armstrong (1886-).
Anna May DuVal (1871-1911) lived in St. Louis. She married Charles P. Dameron (1872-1937). A daughter was Edna R. Dameron (1901-).
John Russell DuVal died September 4, 1880, and is believed to be buried in St. Louis.
