Willie T. Cahoon, 75, passed away in a local hospital. Born in Norfolk, he retired as a production controller from the Norfolk Naval Base. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He will be sadly missed by his sister, Margarett Mayfield of Virginia Beach; his godson, Tony Jones of Portsmouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Rob Pittman. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Friends may join the family at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
