Wayne A. Bash, 89, of Findlay, died at 5:41 a.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. He was born on May 9, 1927, in Findlay to the late David W. and Bessie C. (Murray) Bash. He married Betty L. Worst on February 16, 1952 and she preceded him in death on September 5, 1996. He later married Thelma (Worst) and she too preceded him in death on April 27, 2011. Wayne retired from the Centrex Corporation after 37 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 3, Moose Lodge #698 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2118. He is survived by his beloved dog, Tubby, who was adopted by Fox Run Manor and is used now as a comfort dog for the residents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be held 1 hour (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad.
