David A. Van Every

David Alvin Van Every was born on June 8, 1945 in Nottingham, England. He was the son of Emery Alvin Van Every and Eleanor Mae (Crandon) Van Every. He grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He moved to Rockaway Beach from Fort Dodge. David had worked for the City of Branson Water Treatment Facility and Rockaway Beach Public Works. He was also a skilled mechanic and enjoyed racing stock cars. He was a supporter of the Rockaway Beach community in many facets including the Rockaway Beach Easter egg hunt. David also enjoyed playing bingo, watching everything sports, listening to music and supporting the troops through Shoebox for Soldiers. He entered into rest on Monday, October 10 at his home in Rockaway Beach at the age of 71. David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom Van Every. He is survived by his wife Tammy Van Every and his children: Stacie Coppinger (Robert Hogan) of Ft. Dodge; Dawn (Don) Riley of Badger, IA; Tony (Carla) Van Every of Ft. Dodge, IA; Mellissa McCollar of Rochester, MN; Patrick (Angie) Van Every of Ft. Dodge; Bobby (Jen) Van Every of Rockaway Beach; Jason (Christy) Lumsden of Ft. Dodge; Rosa (Donovan) Kennebeck of Lytton, IA; Patricia (Scott) Brasher of Branson; Casey (Jordan) Drennan of Branson; David Van Every, Jr. of Branson; Josh Van Every of Rockaway Beach; and Tara Van Every of Rockaway Beach. He is also survived by two brothers, Kevin Van Every (Bev Vote) of Summers, IA and Randy (Sherri) Van Every of Rockwell City, IA; one sister Mary (Dean) Steinkamp of Lee’s Summit, MO; thirty grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held, Thursday, October 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Burial will be at a later date in the Cedar Township Cemetery in Rinard, Iowa.
