He was born in Czechoslovakia but has lived in this country for the past 49 years. He was a member of the North Lansing Grange and Tompkins County Farm Bureau.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Florence Weeks Moravia, he is survived by five daughters; Mrs. Charles Cuatt, Mrs. Grover Metzgar, and Mrs. Kermit Dean, all of Ithaca, Mrs. Frank Brind, Richford, and Mrs. Charles Ostrander, Locke, one son; Herbert Moravia, Groton, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the West Groton Congregational Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Orval McBride Hannibal, a former pastor will officiate. Interment will be in the North Lansing Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at the home. They may contribute to the Crippled Children's Fund.
