Mrs. Dawley, a Princess Anne County native, was a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church and Women of the Moose. She was the widow of Charles H. Dawley.
Survivors include a daughter, Marion D. Herndon of Norfolk; a son, Kenneth L. Dawley of St. Louis, Mo., two sisters, Helen F. Brown of Plymouth, N.C., and Evelyn F. Moore of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Elbert L. Fentress of Virginia Beach and Ernest L. Fentress of Christiansburg, Va.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
