Elga Paul "Toula Boy" Brignac, 81 of Maurepas passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was born on April 20, 1935 in Maurepas, Louisiana to Alcide Sr. and Alice Brignac. Elga worked for the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries for 27 years, was dedicated to the Maurepas Cemetery for 40 yrs and 36 years at the Maurepas Community Center. Elga enjoyed life and loved to do woodworking, working in his yard and garden and going out for dinner but he especially loved spending time with his family.

Elga is survived by his children, Paul Brignac, Jr., Gail Durant and Kirk Brignac and his wife Tammie, his grandchildren, Shannon Vicaro and her husband Joey, Tiffany Giluso and her husband Louis, Krystal, Katie, Ashley and Ethan Brignac and CJ Calder, his great grandchildren, Hannah Vicaro, Destiny Giluso, Gabriel Blair and Hudson Vicaro, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Elga is preceded in death by his parents Alcide Sr. and Alice Brignac, his wife Velda Smiley Brignac, his grandson Jacob Brignac, his brothers Alcide Brignac, Jr. and his wife Sis, Alfred Brignac and his wife Ella, Roger Brignac and his wife Joyce, Leroy Brignac and his wife Viv, Val Brignac and his wife Louise and Jessie Brignac, his sisters, Nita Poche and her husband Eno, Mrytle Sanchez and her husband Fritz and Lena Thompson and her husband JD.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Maurepas Baptist Church in Maurepas. A Funeral Service Celebrating Elga's life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00pm in the church. Bro, Glynn Reine will officiate. Interment will follow at Maurepas Cemetery.
