Roger Brignac, 90 years old of Maurepas, died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his residence.

He was born on Wednesday, May 4, 1921, in French Settlement.

Mr. Brignac served his country in the United States Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, LeJoyce Picou Brignac; daughter, Cheryl Vassil; 3 sons, Robert Brignac, Roger "Brittles" Brignac, and Phillip "Mooney" Brignac; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Elga Brignac; sister, Nita Picou; and special niece, Janet Ouber.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice Berthelot and Alcide Joseph Brignac; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, Monday, May 23, 2011, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Whitehall, Tuesday, May 24, 2011, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Maurepas Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keary K. Vassil, Ryan Brignac, Reid Brignac, Travis Brignac, Bobby Brignac, and Sean DeCelle.
