MRS. OSCAR CAIN DIES
Is survived By Her Husband and Five Children
The death of Mrs. Oscar Cain occurred this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home, four miles west of Ottawa. She had been in poor health for some time but was critically ill only four days. Death resulted from intestinal perforations.
Mrs. Cain was nearly 43 years old. Miss India Kaub was born four miles west of Centropolis September 10, 1880. In April 1900 she was married to Mr. Cain and lived all of her life in this county. The husband and following children survive: Roscoe, Florence, Charles, Dorothy, and Lewis Cain. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kaub of Excelsior Springs are the parents and the brother and sisters of Mrs. Cain living are: Mrs. Glenn Fitch, Mrs. Alva Overstreet, Ernest and Perry Kaub, all of Ottawa; Rev. Louis Kaub, Bin Springs, Neb., and Miss Ruth Kaub, Excelsior Springs. A brother, Ira Kaub, died in infancy, but the death of Mrs. Cain is the first break in the family circle since the children were grown.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal Church at Pomona at 2 o'clock. Rev. Everett Hughes of Topeka, a former pastor at Pomona and friend of the family will officiate. Burial is to be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
