Irven Weeda’s Father Dies
Dick Weeda, 85, a resident of the Tingley community, died Tuesday Sept. 18. Funeral services and burial were at Tingley Thursday.
Mr. Weeda is survived by his wife, eight children, 23 grandchildren. Irven Weeda of the Conway community is a son.

DICK WEEDA
Dick Weeda, son of Arie and Ellen Weeda was born December 5, 1871 in Pella, Iowa and departed this life September 18, 1956 at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 13 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. In 1896 the family moved to Tingley.
On December 22, 1903 he was united in marriage to Kate Romkee. To this union were born eight children-Ira and Emma of Tingley; William of Lenox; Irven and Mrs. Paul McKay of Conway; Elmer of Buckeye, Arizona; Wayne of Mandan, North Dakota and Allen of Osceola.
In 1927 he made his choice to serve the Lord and has kept faithful to that decision.
He will be sadly missed by his family, his wife, eight children, twenty-three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his three brothers-John of Los Angeles, California, Lawrence of Mount Ayr, Ben of Leavenworth, Kansas, his sisters, Mrs. Maggie Eckerman and Mrs. Nancy Borrusch of Tingley and a host of relatives and friends.
