Daisy M. Wood, 97, passed away 11/5/06. She was born 9/03/1909 in Creek Co., OK to Grover C. and Alma Baker. Daisy enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and laughing with her family while talking about 'old times.' Our mother and grandmother, Daisy, was such a gentle soul and a true lady in every sense of the word. She was loved so much by her family and friends. Survivors include, 1 brother, Herbert Baker and wife Flossie, Bethany, OK; 3 sisters, Bess Potter, Wichita, KS, Beulah Wilshire, Moore, OK, and Barbara Hilliard, Lawton, OK; children, Betty Robison, Shawnee, OK, Jack Wood and wife Colleen, Hinton, OK and Mary Tilger and husband Ray, Spring, TX; grandchildren, Debbie and Buster West, Dian Barnard, Denise Robison, Robby and Terri Robison, Jack and Deb Robison, Tommy Robison, Kim Thompson, Lisa and Ben Nosser, Casey and Keith Horn, Ron and Pam Macklin, Lori and Mark Elam and Brooke Donaldson; 17 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Daisy's been a member of the Church of Christ most of her life and attended the Cherokee Hills Church. Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Roscoe 'Woody' Wood; both parents, 2 brothers; 1 sister; and 2 great grandsons. We, her family, were truly blessed to have her in our lives. Services will be held at 2pm Thurs, Nov. 9, 2006 at Bill Merritt's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, OKC. The family will receive friends at Bill Merritt from 6pm-8pm on Wed. evening.
