Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker- Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Barbara Jean (Baker) Hilliard, 86, of Lawton, passed away Saturday, December 15th, 2018 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Barbara was born May 18th, 1932 in rural Kiowa County, Oklahoma to Grover C. and Alma Z. (Cruzon) Baker.
Barbara grew up in the Cold Springs community, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1950.
She married Harold F. Hilliard on December 24th, 1950 in Roosevelt, OK. From this union two children were born, Brenda and Randy. Her loving husband preceded her in death on November 5th, 2005.
Barbara was a fine Christian woman who took great joy in preparing a roast beef dinner every Sunday for her family after church. She met many people in the community working as a receptionist for Drs. Boyd and Cara.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Brenda & John Romano, son; Randy, grandchildren; Chris Hilliard & Kelley, Jason Hilliard & Nikki, Josh & Ashley Romano, Shae & Daniel Gilbert, great-grandchildren; Kinzie, Caston and Hudson.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings – Daisy, Ruby, Herbert, Beulah, Bessie, Junior and great-granddaughter Harper Reese Romano.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ten Oaks and Aspire Hospice for the care given.
